I didn't start out writing about online gambling. I came to it sideways - through years of covering consumer finance and subscription services, where the fine print almost always told a different story than the headline. Casino platforms turned out to be no different, and probably more interesting to dissect.
Mission and
Mission and Approach
My job on this site is straightforward: give Canadian players the information they actually need before they deposit money somewhere. That means reading terms and conditions in full, not skimming them. It means looking at what a welcome bonus costs in wagering requirements, not just what it promises in dollar amounts. I'm not here to sell anyone on a platform - I'm here to describe it accurately.
When I review a casino, I work through a fixed set of checkpoints: licensing jurisdiction and what it actually covers, the structure of promotional offers, the depth and variety of the game library, available payment methods and their real processing times, and how responsive support is when something goes wrong. The last point matters more than most sites admit. A platform that handles disputes well tells you something important about how it operates.
I try to stay consistent about one thing: if a platform does something well, I say so clearly and explain why. If there's a clause in the bonus terms that most players would consider a red flag, I flag it - not bury it. That's not about being harsh for its own sake. It's about giving readers a complete picture rather than a selective one.
Most of the projects I contribute to are built around the same idea: that honest, specific information is more useful to a reader than enthusiasm. That's the standard I hold my own writing to.
